Say hello to the most populous state in the US, and the home of the Hollywood stars you all know (maybe.) and admire (... Probably?)

Anyway, I know why you're looking at this blog post now and I'm sure you're looking for a vacation rental in California

Not sure where to start? Let me help you out!

Where?

You could visit LA for Hollywood, go to Santa Monica for the beach or the pier or even San Diego. 

But I beg to differ.

A vacation rental is what we're looking for right? Peace and quiet and a real good R&R so I'd pick San Francisco if I were you.  To me, it seems the most quiet and the Golden Gate Bridge is just a marvel to look at.

The geography of San Francisco is pretty neat too, the streets goes uphill and downhill which is rarely seen in a dense urban environment. Anyway, enough about my ramblings and etc.

Knowing the rules

The US has different laws by state so reviewing them might ease your mind should you decide to visit, but I'll break it in for you.

You'll be glad to know that the laws regarding vacation rentals there only applies to the owners who rent their homes provided that they register their homes for business.

But of course if you're looking for a vacation rental in San Francisco, you gotta research if it's listed as legal so you don't get evicted early due to the owner not registering their home.

Don't worry still, you won't be in trouble should a raid happen, but should it occur, I advise looking for nearby rentals or hotels to stay in as a backup plan, and do it before you even book.

All Set and Ready to Book

Got the gist of the laws? Good.

Now we're ready to book. If you're new at this, I suggest visiting my vacation rental guide so you'll get up to speed. But to explain it fast and simple, go visit sites like Airbnb, vrbo, and etc

To keep it simple, I'll introduce you directly to eGetinnz. Try to start here, and experiment booking on those other sites I mentioned once you get the hang of it.

Do take note that if you're booking, prices may vary per season so you gotta plan a year ahead, and always have a contingency plan should your booking gets cancelled suddenly.

And another thing, amenities vary per rental so sometimes you still have to bring your own stuff even if it's furnished and all (say they tell you they got cable but there's no TV, yes that happens)

Frequently contact the owner and build a relationship of trust to make future stays easier.
